Well this has nothing to do with Obama’s illegal links with underworld hacker community. But this has certainly to do with innocence of people w.r.t good security practices. Obama’s win has been used (rather misused) by hackers and Malware authors to social engineer people into clicking a link claiming to be a webpage containing details of Obama’s acceptance speech. But actually those webpages were some hacked websites used to distribute malicious rootkits

According to Mr. Singh the attackers had hacked into a well known travel site. It was then used to host an information-stealing Trojan Horse downloader file called ‘BarackObama.exe’. ‘BarackObama.exe’ executed and unpacked phishing kits locally..

Also is a well known scam found few days about Obama sex scandal. An e-mail claiming to show a video of Barack Obama having sex while on tour was on wide spread and was indeed a virus that may compromise all sensitive data from the victim’s system.

The e-mail, sent from “obamasex@obama.com” with the subject “Barack Obama sex story with a girl”, claims the presidential hopeful “in 2007 was travel to Ukraine and have sex action with many Ukrainian girls”.

“You may view this private porno in a flash video. Download and view now,” it reads.

“Please send this news to your friends. Obama it’s not right choice…”

When users click on the link in the e-mail, unrelated amateur porn is played while the malicious software is secretly installed on the computer.

My two cents:

Think twice before clicking on any link that claims to be web-page containing hot-news. I would rather suggest not to click on the links from unknown sources. Better to google for one. And remember porn is never good all the time.
